I made this card last month for our easter card challenge since we were in lockdown at the time we posted our creations on our facebook page & so this was my one.
So i first started off by prepping my card stock with my embossing powder tool (this stops flecks of embossing powder sticking to areas where it detects moisture like finger prints) & then stamping a few easter egg stamps from a stampin up set called basket bunch, with versa mark clear ink onto some white Fabriano bristol cardstock, then i grabbed out my white embossing powder from stampin up & spread it all over the card to cover all the eggs i had stamped.
Once i had completed that, i turned on my heat tool so i could melt the embossing powder till it turned shiny, then i got out some distress oxides in colours Peacock feathers, Twisted citron, Squeezed lemonade, Picked raspberry, Cracked pistachio & Spun sugar & also my blending brushes from taylor expressions & used them to ink blend the oxides onto the embossed cardstock then let it dry off for abot 10 minutes, then grabed a dry paper towel & buffed off any remaining oxdide ink sitting on the embossed easter eggs.
then i got out the bunny set called sweet little something from stampin up & got out my stamparatus to stamp the bunny’s onto some whisper white cardstock also from stampin up & some mini ink cubes from altenew in colours from lightest to darkest; sand dunes, rocky shore & mocha in the browns & sliver lake, gray denim & cloudy night in the gray & as this bunny stamp is a 3 step stamp i had to set them up in place to get them to stamp correctly so once that was completed with both bunny’s I got out my scan n cut & cut them out with a 4.0cm boarder.
Then i got out my ‘celebrate’ die from mft & cut it out once in glitter sliver cardstock & once with white cardstock & glued them both together with liquid adhesive to give the sentiment abit of height & then grabbed a scrap piece or black cardstock & again heat embossed the ‘easter’ word in white embossing powder.
After that a got out some pink ribbon & some red & white bakers twine for the two bows on each bunny then i added a little bit of liquid glue to the gray bunny’s ear & arm & attached them together with the brown one then put some foam tape on the back of each bunny for some added dimension & adhered the bunny’s & the celebrate die cut to the front of the card then adheared the easter word on top of the celebrate die cut with a small bit of foam tape, then added this to a black piece of cardstock from hero arts cut at 5 & 1/2″ by 4 & 1/4″ & then glued the black matted piece to a white card base & this card is complete.
